A graduate of The Citadel and Georgia Tech, Monty began his career at Bell Laboratories. After rising to Vice President of Strategic Marketing in AT&T’s Network Systems, Monty held executive positions in DSC Communications and Motorola, along with the private SIP/IMS company, dynamicsoft. Monty then joined Tekelec, as the President and GM of their signaling business, followed by the position of CEO and Vice Chairman of Wireless Telecom Group. Following with his role as GM, Americas for small cell pioneer and leader Ubiquisys and onto Cisco via its acquisition of Ubiquisys, Monty now serves as CEO of OPNT, the world’s leader in offering combined fiber and wireless based timing-as-a-service.
