The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) is a United Nations body that is responsible for ensuring that telecommunications can exist on a worldwide basis.  Question 13 of Study Group 15 covers the subject matter of synchronization and timing.  Telecom networks and manufacturers across the globe adhere to Recommendations developed in Q13 for all aspects of synchronization and timing.

Stefano Ruffini and Silvana Rodrigues have leadership roles in Q13 and will provide an overview of the role of ITU in general and Q13 in particular.
