Description
Threats to positioning, navigation and timing in the United States will be presented and discussed. A situation in which GNSS is routinely degraded, disrupted, deceived, and/or denied impacts critical infrastructure and operators across multiple sectors but can very seriously affect every mobile telecommunication industry operator in the United States.
The presentation explains the need for highly accurate and resilient network timing and synchronization solutions for the Telecom industry. Much of the information presented can be used as a role model for other critical infrastructure industries as well.
Finally, this presentation will review the solutions ATIS, and the Telecommunications industry have developed to increase levels of resilience against these threats along with the new future architecture solutions for critical infrastructure.
