Description

Precise time synchronization is a cornerstone of modern data center operations, particularly in environments requiring high availability and low latency. Our presentation explores and compares two distinct approaches for distributing Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals—optical and electrical—within data center infrastructures.
The analysis highlights the technical and operational advantages and limitations of each method, including signal fidelity, electromagnetic resilience, deployment scalability, and integration complexity. By providing a structured comparison, this presentation aims to support infrastructure architects and system engineers in selecting optimal GNSS distribution solutions for future-proof data center designs.
