Chris has been "in sync" since the early 1990s initially working on clock-recovery cards in PSTN switches and then drew the short straw when a new-fangled "SSU" turned up in the lab and needed testing. Working through a number of sync & timing technology upgrades with major carriers in the 1990s/early 2000s has given Chris a grounding in all the practical aspects of testing, deploying, operating & maintaining all sorts of frequency and time generation & distribution systems. At Chronos Chris is responsible for delivering the Synchronization MasterClass training course, consultancy and network audit projects as well as being a member of the Chronos product development group. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Physics and Electronics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).
